Linear Machine Calibration System
Optodyne's MCV-500 Compact Linear Machine Calibration System can be
used to calibrate Coordinate Measuring Machines, CNC Machines, and
other types of precision measuring or manufacturing equipment. The
system is based on Optodyne's patented Laser Doppler Displacement
Meter (LDDM™) technology and is traceable to NIST.
Laser/Ballbar Option
Optodyne's LB-500 Laser/Ballbar option for the MCV-500 system can
be used for CMM and machine tool calibration, servo-tuning, and
dynamic testing in a manner similar to testing performed with
mechanical Ball Bars.
The Laser/Ballbar option provides a rapid and efficient way of
measuring a machine's contouring accuracy along a circular path.
Software included with the system provides polar plots of deviations.
